Teach the Teacher Program

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The aim of this program is to provide secondary school teachers with the current CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways qualification, supporting secondary schools to maintain RTO compliance and grow the construction workforce in the ACT.
All course materials will be available through MBA’s online portal, with learning to be self directed. Practical skills and knowledge will be assessed during a 4 day assessment window on site at MBA. Support will be available throughout the program via phone, email and Microsoft Teams Meetings where required.
The Teach the Teacher program includes the following units of competency:
Core Units
  • CPCCOM1012 Work effectively and sustainably in the Construction Industry
  • CPCCOM1013 Plan and organise work
  • CPCCOM1015 Carry out measurements and calculations
  • CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project
  • CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the Construction Industry
Elective Units
  • CPCCCA2002 Use carpentry tools and equipment
  • CPCCCA2011 Handle carpentry materials
  • CPCCCM2004 Handle construction materials
  • CPCCCM2006 Apply basic levelling procedures
  • CPCCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms

CERTIFICATION

Successful course participants will be issued a Nationally Recognised Qualification for CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways.
