Program structure

Participants are grouped into bands to match development and safety requirements:

• 6–9 years (Foundation): pre‑cut components + assembly focus; hand tools only.
• 10–12 years (Builder): measuring, marking, controlled cutting where appropriate; limited powered tools under direct supervision
• 13–15 years (Advanced): planning, cut lists, leadership roles, QA checks; controlled powered tool use under supervision and competence sign‑

Daily Schedule (each 4‑hour block)

• Sign‑in, wellbeing check, PPE fit check (8–10 mins).
• Safety brief + objectives + demonstration of today’s techniques (15–20 mins).
• Build time in stations with tiered tasks (approx. 2 hrs 40 mins).
• Pack‑down: tool accountability, waste management, bench reset (20 mins).
• Reflection: Builder Passport stamp, learning recap, handover notes to parent/guardian (30 mins).
• Morning/afternoon tea
• Note: hydration breaks are scheduled at least every 60–90 minutes; sunscreen/hat protocols apply where outdoor activities occur.

Weekly curriculum overview

This is a non-accredited training course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the course, along with specific Junior Builders Job Cards.
