This course provides a combined theoretical and practical demonstration of external waterproofing applied to a balcony or planter box structure as well as an understanding of internal waterproof membrane systems and compliance with NCC and AS 3740-2010 requirements. It is designed for builders and anyone responsible for ensuring quality workmanship in relation to waterproofing.

Day 1 – Wet Area Waterproofing
Key outcomes include Compatibility, Impact of Design – Setdowns, Substrate, Joints, Calibration & Testing, Importance of Puddle Flange, Water Stops, Bond Breakers.
Day 2 – External Area Waterproofing
Key outcomes include Compatibility, Testing, Impact of Design – Substrate, Joints, Falls.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn throughout this training. Appropriate safety footwear, P2 facemask and eye protection must be worn. Surgical gloves will be supplied.
This is a non-accredited course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the course.
