5 Day Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Training

A Health and Safety Representative (HSR) is elected by members of the work group to represent them in health and safety matters. HSRs are mandatory for major projects (over $5mil) and if elected by members from the workgroup.

The rebate through the ACT Building & Construction Industry Training Fund Authority has already been factored into the cost of the ACT course.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

A HSR has specific duties under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. In order for a HSR to have the powers prescribed in the legislation, they must undertake the 5-day HSR training and update this training with annual refreshers. For further information on health and safety representatives and committees visit Worksafe ACT or SafeWork NSW.
