BSBWRT411 Write Complex Documents
Self-paced online | Nationally recognised unit | MBA Training RTO 88163

Most people can write an email. Far fewer can produce a client letter, a procedure or a set of minutes that is clear, accurate and ready to sign the first time. This self-paced unit gives you the skills to plan, draft and finalise complex workplace documents. You’ll learn to work out what your reader needs, find the information you’re missing, structure it logically, apply your organisation’s house style, and turn a manager’s feedback into a polished final copy.

You step into the role of WHS Officer at Awesome Landscapes, covering for the Project Administrator while she’s on leave. A late turf delivery means a client needs a formal letter about the delay. A depot stocktake has come up short, so the team needs a clear goods receipt procedure. And the quarterly management meeting needs an agenda beforehand and accurate minutes afterwards. You’ll plan each document, gather the facts you need, draft it, get it approved, and produce the final version in the company’s house style, with graphics where they help.

How it works

  • Study online at your own pace through a learner guide, presentations and interactive modules
  • Complete an online knowledge quiz, marked instantly
  • Complete the learner assessment workbook using the Awesome Landscapes simulated workplace, then upload it with your three final documents for marking
  • Gather the information you need for the client letter in a short video call with your trainer
  • Get support from an experienced MBA Training trainer by phone or email

Who it’s for
Site supervisors, project and office administrators, WHS coordinators and officers, and anyone who writes letters, procedures, reports or meeting records as part of their job, particularly in building and construction.

What you’ll receive
A Statement of Attainment for BSBWRT411 when you’re assessed as competent. The unit counts toward the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
