BSBWHS412 Assist with Workplace Compliance with WHS Laws
Self-paced online | Nationally recognised unit | MBA Training RTO 88163

Do you know what the WHS laws actually require of your business, and whether your workplace is meeting them? This self-paced unit gives you the skills to find out and to help fix it. You’ll learn to locate and interpret the WHS Act and Regulation, advise workers and supervisors on their duties and rights, explain the regulator’s powers, check workplace practice against the law, and write procedures that close the gaps.

Instead of answering disconnected questions, you step into the role of the new WHS Officer at Awesome Landscapes. When an HSR raises concerns about chainsaw safety on tree removal jobs, you work out what the law requires, inspect the site, advise the supervisor and write a new procedure. When a worker is injured decanting herbicide into an unlabelled bottle, you decide whether the incident must be reported to the regulator and put a proper chemical handling system in place. You finish by briefing a crew in a short toolbox talk.

How it works

  • Study online at your own pace through a learner guide, presentations and interactive modules
  • Complete an online knowledge quiz, marked instantly
  • Complete the learner assessment workbook using the Awesome Landscapes simulated workplace, then upload it for marking
  • Deliver a short toolbox talk by video call or recording
  • Get support from an experienced MBA Training trainer by phone or email

Who it’s for
Site supervisors, leading hands, Health and Safety Representatives, and anyone who needs to understand and apply WHS law in the workplace, particularly in building and construction.

What you’ll receive
