Clients and government tenders increasingly want proof of environmental performance: waste diversion rates, fuel use, water efficiency. Most businesses pay the bills but have never added them up. This self-paced unit gives you the skills to change that. You’ll check compliance with environmental law and measure what the business really uses. Then you’ll set targets, put practical improvements in place, and report results that management and clients can trust.

You step into the role of Sustainability Coordinator at Awesome Landscapes. An audit has found washdown water running into a stormwater drain. Green waste is going to landfill while the business buys in mulch, and nobody has ever totalled a year of fuel, water and waste costs. You’ll work through a year of the company’s records to find out where it stands. Then you’ll consult management, build an improvement plan, and implement it with the crews. Over two monitoring periods you’ll track the results, adjust what isn’t working, and promote what is.
