BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

This qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The BSB41419 Certificate IV in WHS reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of contents, this may include:

  • WHS Officer/Coordinator
  • WHS Manager
  • Site Supervisor
  • WHS Advisor
  • Facilitators
  • Office Administrator

GENERAL INFORMATION

Course Duration: 80 hours blended delivery (10 x 8 hour trainer led sessions)
Delivery Method: Blended delivery (mix of online and face to face sessions) with self paced study between sessions

10 units include:

  • BSBWHS412 Assist with workplace compliance with WHS laws
  • BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes
  • BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
  • BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems
  • BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response
  • BSBWHS418 Assist with managing WHS compliance of contractors
  • BSBWHS419 Contribute to implementing WHS monitoring processes
  • BSBWHS431 Develop processes and procedures for controlling hazardous chemicals in the workplace
  • BSBLDR411 Demonstrate leadership in the workplace
  • PUAFER001 Identify, prevent and report potential facility emergency situations

Certification: Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon completion for units completed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic numeracy skills
  • English language skills sufficient to understand both written and verbal instruction
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
  • Laptop with webcam and internet access

If you do not have one you will need to have either one of the following - Medicare card, birth certificate, driver licence, Australian passport, citizenship document, certificate of registration by descent, ImmiCard or Australian entry visa during this online process.
