Award Wage Summaries: effective from first full pay period after 1 November 2020

Earlier this year, the Fair Work Commission made its decision to increase the national minimum wage from 1 July 2020. The Commission noted that the increases to the modern Awards would be made in three stages, as a result of the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on various industries. The awards relating to construction industries were amongst those listed in Group 2 which were determined to have a later operative date, being 1 November 2020.

MBA has now updated the wage summaries for the following Awards:

• Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2010
• Clerks Private Sector Award 2010
• Joinery and Building Trades Award 2010
• Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award 2010

These updated rates of pay will apply from the first full pay cycle after 1 November 2020.

All members who requested an advanced copy of their applicable award/s should have received the updated wage summaries earlier today. If your Award is not mentioned, you can refer to the Fair Work Ombudsman Pay and Conditions Calculator to obtain the current rates of pay from 1 November 2020.
