Every workplace has a process everyone complains about and nobody fixes. This self-paced unit gives you the skills to change that. You’ll learn to use performance data to find what needs to improve, and to bring the team into the decisions. Then you’ll put the changes in place, track whether they’re working, deal with the problems that come up, and show the results to the people who matter.

You step into the role of WHS Officer at Awesome Landscapes, where the depot’s Monday mornings are chaos. Machines are double-booked, crews wait at the gate, and faults are found on site instead of in the workshop. You’ll lead a three-month improvement project with the depot team. You’ll analyse the figures, agree a plan, build new booking and handover tools, and measure the results. When something isn’t working you’ll fix it, then evaluate the outcome with the people who live with it every day.

What you’ll receive
A Statement of Attainment for BSBSTR402 when you’re assessed as competent. The unit counts toward the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
