PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

With growing demand for supervisors and managers to make informed, principled decisions in the ACT, this course provides essential knowledge on writing SWMSs, conducting risk assessments, managing incidents and applying decision-making principles under the WHS Act 2011. This 4-hour course is designed to ensure your management team is well-versed in these critical areas and more.


CONTENT

The workshop equips your site management team with practical skills and knowledge in:

  • Decision-making principles under WHS Act 2011, WHS Regulations 2011, NSW WHS Regulations 2017, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, guidance materials, and relevant policies and procedures.
  • Consultation with all stakeholders.
  • Management of incidents.
  • Participation in construction site safety committees.
  • Conducting WHS inspections and safety walks on construction sites.
  • Writing SWMSs and conducting thorough risk assessments.

REQUIREMENTS

Participants must be a minimum of 16 years old


CERTIFICATION

This is a non-accredited training course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the course.
