RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights

The aim of this course is to encourage the adoption of safe practices whilst working at heights and provides instruction in the correct use of access and safety equipment. This course does NOT provide detailed training on the erection of scaffolding.

This course is accepted throughout industry and mining within Australia, is compliant with WHS regulations and AS/NZS 1891-The Australian Standard for Working at Heights and is suitable for workers in mining, construction, and any tradespeople who need to work at heights.

This course is delivered and assessed in English, participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instructions for safety at a workplace.

• Identify work area requirements
• Follow WHS policies and procedures
• Identify relevant WHS legislation, regulations and standards covering fall protection equipment
• Identify approved methods of moving tools and equipment to minimise potential hazards associated with tools at heights

Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a Card (if requested) upon successful completion of the course.
