The Training Fund Authority (TFA) supplies a rebate for course participants who are working in, or in connection with, a company in the building and construction industry in the ACT who is performing work liable for the payment of the Training Levy. Eligible work is outlined in Schedule 1 of the Building and Construction Industry Training Levy Act 1999. A Health and Safety Representative (HSR) is elected by members of the work group to represent them in health and safety matters. HSR’s are mandatory for major projects (over $5mil) and if elected by members from the workgroup.
A HSR has specific duties under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. In order for a HSR to have the powers prescribed in the legislation, they must undertake the 5-day HSR training and update this training with annual refreshers. For further information on health and safety representatives and committees visit Worksafe ACT or SafeWork NSW.
This course will provide the information and training necessary to act as a HSR, including:

This is a non-accredited training course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the course.
