CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)

Commonly referred to as White Card Training, this course relates directly to the General Construction Induction training specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2006). This course covers the general WHS induction information you require to work on a construction site in Australia.


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This Nationally Accredited course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to enter and work on a construction site, including understanding of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely, identifying and reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies, as well as selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

This course is delivered and assessed in English. Participants are required to understand both written and spoken English to a basic level to complete this course.


CONTENT

The course will provide participants with the content covering:

  • Work health and safety legislative requirements and responsibilities
  • Identifying and managing construction hazards and risks
  • Emergency and incident response procedures
  • PPE requirements

CERTIFICATION

Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.

MBA Training do not issue the physical White Card.

In the ACT, you will need to apply for your card through Access Canberra within 60 days from the issue date on your certificate. There is an application fee of $42.00.

In NSW, STO will apply for the card on your behalf through Safe Work NSW.
