Safe Buildings and Defects Managements Summit

MBA attended the Safe Buildings and Defect Managements Summit in Sydney at the end of February. The Summit provided an opportunity for the building and construction to discuss issues associated with recent defects and the development of strategies to mitigate the risk of defects and ultimately build confidence in the sector.
The key issues discussed included:
- Waterproofing standards
- Withdrawal of insurers from the Professional Indemnity Insurance market
- Rectification of cladding
