Reminder: Managing the Risk of Plant Code of Practice has been updated and in effect from 10 May 2024

This is a reminder to all members that the ACT Managing the Risks of Plant Code of Practice (the ACT Code) has been updated and came into effect on Friday 10 May 2024. This updated version of the Code revokes the Work Health and Safety (Managing Risks of Plant in the Workplace Code of Practice) approved in 2022.
The ACT Code has been updated to be aligned with the model Code of Practice, which was updated in January 2024. The updated Code provides specific control measures on the prevention of vehicle roll-aways and safe immobilisation.
Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the updated ACT Code, and can view a copy of the updated ACT Code here.
