National Safe Work Month 2026: Safe Work is for Life

Safe Work Australia has announced the 2026 National Safe Work Month theme: “Safe work is for life.”

Held each October, the campaign highlights that WHS is not just about preventing incidents in the moment—but protecting workers’ long-term health, wellbeing and future.

This year’s program is structured around four weekly focus areas:

• Week 1 – For life: Why WHS matters
• Week 2 – For health: What WHS protects
• Week 3 – For the future: Long-term impacts of workplace harm
• Week 4 – For all: Action across every workplace [safework.nsw.gov.au]

MBA ACT Safety Fair Returns

Following last year’s successful launch, MBA ACT will again host the Safety Fair during October.

The Fair brings together members and industry to:

• Share practical solutions
• See live safety demonstrations
• Hear from expert speakers

This year’s event will deliver strong engagement through interactive demonstrations, workshops and industry exhibitors, providing practical, on‑site learning for attendees.
