Labour Hire Licensing

In May this year, a labour hire licence scheme was introduced in the ACT – all labour hire providers have until 27 November 2021 to lodge and finalise their licence application.
Do I need a licence? Most construction companies are unlikely to need a licence. If your business providers ONLY a worker to another person (whether individual or a business), to do work, then you will need a labour hire licence.
If you engage in labour hire after 27 November 2021 and you are unlicensed, or you use an unlicensed labour hire company, you may face fines.
