Where overhangs exceed acceptable tolerances, early consultation with your engineer can often provide a practical rectification detail, such as approved packing, bearing support, or other engineered repair. Addressing the issue early can help avoid unnecessary delays, prevent rework, and keep the project moving while maintaining compliance and structural performance.
Members should ensure any repair method is documented and approved before works continue.
