Environment Protection Guidelines – Out for consultation

A new version of the Environment Protection Guidelines for Construction and Land Development in the ACT is now out for consultation.
These draft Guidelines provide guidance and advice to builders and land developers on their legal obligations to protect the environment when undertaking construction and land development work.
The Guidelines focus on how to address erosion, sediment control and other environmental issues including noise, air emissions, waste management, land contamination, biodiversity and climate change.
The draft Guidelines are available for comment at www.environment.gov.au/epguidelines. Feedback can be provided to the MBA via canberra@mba.org.au or sent directly to environmentprotectionpolicy@act.gov.au
