End of year submission cut off dates of 2026

Builders and developers planning to lodge submissions with the Development Solutions Branch ahead of the Christmas shutdown should be aware of the key deadlines to help ensure assessments can be completed and outcomes or certificates issued before the holiday period.

Master Builders ACT encourages members to plan ahead and lodge the relevant documentation through the appropriate channels by the dates outlined below.

1. Design Review (DR), Operational Acceptance (OA), Soft Landscape Consolidation Commencement (SLCC), Soft Landscape Handover (SLH) and Final Acceptance (FA) submissions should be lodged via ProjectWise prior to COB Friday 20 November 2026.
2. Operational Acceptance (OA) submissions* which include playgrounds, barbeques, bins, bubblers, and other contract/programmed maintenance items should be lodged via ProjectWise by COB Friday 6 November 2026.
3. Soft Landscape Handover (SLH) submissions* which include areas of open space, playgrounds, playing fields or irrigation should be lodged via ProjectWise by COB Friday 6 November 2026.
4. Development Application (DA) and Building Applications (BA) for Driveway, Stormwater and LMPP can be lodged via eDevelopment/ smart form at any time however, responses and timeframes will be paused between Saturday 21st December 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027**.

*The above scheduling is to ensure the sufficient time to arrange the inclusion of these elements on the maintenance programme of CED and their contractors.

**This is to align with Section 192 of the Planning Act 2023. Under Section 192 a ‘working day’ is any day that’s not a Saturday or Sunday, public holiday or between 20 Dec and 10 Jan (inclusive).

Submissions to Development Solutions Branch received after 20 December and through to COB Friday 08 January 2026 will be noted as received on Monday 11 January 2027 and turnaround times will be calculated accordingly.

Development Solution Branch standard turnaround times for responses will apply from Monday 11 January 2027.
