Changes to the Payment of Wages on Termination Clauses: Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2010, and Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2010

The Fair Work Commission has varied the clauses relating to the payment of wages relating to termination pay. These changes will apply from the first full pay period from 13 October 2020. 

Outstanding wages means any wages for work the employee has performed up to the end of their employment (including any accruals –œ annual leave, RDOs if applicable) 

All other amounts mean any other amount that needs to be paid out upon termination (such as annual leave, accrued RDOs if applicable)

Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2010 

 

(with notice of termination) 

To be paid by registered post or EFT if that is the usual method of payment.: 

  • On the last day of their employment, or 

  • Within 2 days of their employment ending. 

(without notice of termination) 

To be paid: 

  • On the last day of their employment, or 

  • By EFT within 7 days of their employment ending. 

 

To be paid: 

  • By EFT within 7 days of their employment ending. 

 

Electrical, Electronic and Communications Award 2010 

 

 

Upon termination, to be paid by the end of the next business day after the day of termination 

 

To be paid within 7 days of their employment ending.
