An update regarding NCC 2022 Amendments

This week MBA ACT met with ACT Government to discuss members’ concerns about the implementation NCC 2022 Amendments.  We understand the concerns and emphasised to Government that certainty on the transition arrangements is required to allow projects to be designed knowing when the 2022 amendments will commence.

Whilst there was no update or confirmation of any transitional periods at the time of writing, MBA ACT wishes to inform members of the following:

• MBA ACT is currently working on transition arrangements with ACT and Federal Government;
• MBA ACT anticipates that there will be some transition arrangements but have no further information available on what these arrangements will be at the time of writing;
• ACT Government is currently finalising a consultation pack which is expected to become available shortly. MBA ACT will advise members when this becomes available.
