ACT SOPA Changes Are in Effect Now

Changes to the ACT Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act 2009 (SOPA) commenced on Monday, 11 March 2024. In the past few weeks, we have received numerous queries from members, especially around the question of how these changes will affect the existing contracts. Earlier this week our Member Services Director, Ashlee Berry, sent an email to all members about these changes and how these changes would apply to the existing contracts.
