The start of a new year is the ideal time for builders to reset and make sure sites, systems and teams are ready to operate efficiently.
Here are a few areas you should review to start the new year right:
- Confirm that licences, insurances, site documentation and safety controls are current.
- Confirm all training is up to date for yourself, staff and subcontractors where needed, like First Aid, CPR, Working at Heights, Traffic Control and any VOC’s that may be due for renewal.
- Review construction programs, material lead times and subcontractor availability early, and ensure site access, amenities and signage are compliant and in place. Clear communication with clients and trades at the outset also helps manage expectations and maintain momentum.
A well-prepared start sets the tone for the year ahead, supporting safer sites, smoother workflows and better project outcomes.
