Infrastructure Canberra has launched the new Infrastructure Design Requirements (IDR). The IDR replaces the Basic Brief and sets out clear, consistent design standards that now apply to ACT Government infrastructure projects. It brings together key requirements in one resource and will be progressively rolled out through procurement documentation to guide the design stages of projects.
For now, the Basic Brief will still apply if it is specified in current contracts or tender processes. Members involved in ACT Government projects should familiarise themselves with the IDR to ensure compliance.
