Build Your Future: Certificate II Construction Pathways Program

Ready for the career opportunity of a lifetime? Do you see yourself building great things? MBA Training is excited to offer a CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways program for adults aged 17 and older in the ACT.

This program is designed to pave your way into one of Australia’s most in-demand industries, blending nationally-recognised training with hands-on learning and direct connections to industry professionals.

Outcomes

The CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways is a nationally recognised training program designed to help eligible ACT participants build practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge for entry into the construction sector.
Delivered through hands-on training and industry exposure, the program focuses on employment readiness, foundation skills, pathway preparation and supported learning outcomes to assist participants in preparing for further training and employment opportunities within the construction industry.
Participants will develop practical construction skills, workplace knowledge and employability skills in a supportive learning environment, with pathways into apprenticeships, labouring roles, trades assistant positions and further construction training. The program also incorporates learner support and industry engagement to help participants build confidence and work readiness.

What's included?

Join us for job-ready training that equips you with essential skills and qualifications, including:

  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card training). Participants who successfully complete the unit will meet the training requirements to apply for a White Card in the ACT.
  • – 11084NAT – Course in Asbestos Awareness
  • – 10830NAT – Course in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention
  • – Mental Health First Aid
  • – Work experience on-site with a local industry employer
  • – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided (includes safety boots, hi-vis shirts, and safety glasses)
  • – Nationally-recognised qualification: graduate with a Certificate II in Construction Pathways

Who can apply?

This program is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • – Aged 17 years or older
  • – Genuinely interested in pursuing a career in construction
  • – Able to commit to a full 12-week schedule
  • – Not currently enrolled in school, college, or any Year 12 delivery programs
  • – A resident of the ACT
  • – An Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or a migrant/refugee/asylum seeker holding a temporary or bridging visa with work and/or study rights

Program details

Location: Master Builders ACT HQ, 1 Iron Knob St, Fyshwick

Start date: Term 3, 2026, commencing 21 July 2026

Cost: Funded training places available for eligible ACT participants through the ACT Adult and Community Education (ACE) Grants Program. No tuition fees apply for eligible participants.

Build Your Future Construction Pathways Program is funded through the 2025–27 ACT Adult Community Education (ACE) Grants Program under the National Skills Agreement’s Ensuring Access to Foundation Skills Training initiative, a joint initiative of the Commonwealth and ACT Governments.
