2022 Master Builders and Asset Construction Hire Excellence Awards

This development consists of 19 townhouses, a basement level and garages with each townhouse overlooking the picturesque sunken landscape zone. The layout of each townhouse includes a flat ground floor and four additional split levels working their way up around a central void and staircase.  Each home features incredible polished concrete floors with in-slab heating, stairs with timber treads and a steel spine and floor to ceiling glass balustrading. These townhouses were built to be liveable for a lifetime, with all having free flowing cross ventilation, an abundance of natural light and high ceilings.

This project saw the construction of a 7-storey building with commercial and residential units and 2 additional levels of underground parking. The building has a stunning curved façade line which required offsite fabricated louvres, glazed balustrades and street awnings. The façade is also comprised of aluminium cladding with powder coated windows, which is highlighted by the stunning mural. The apartments feature engineered timber flooring, feature battened joinery and off form concrete in the living rooms to create a contemporary interior that is built to last.

Situated just minutes from Canberra’s city centre, Metropol by GEOCON Group comprises of three towers hosting 552, 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units. The complex has a suite of luxurious amenities including a gourmet kitchen, high-tech entertainment facilities and a plunge pool.

Each unit features energy efficient LED lighting, reverse cycle air-conditioning, spacious balconies, flexible floorplans and double-glazed aluminium windows. The kitchens are fitted with high-end appliances and feature stunning stone benchtops. The exterior features light grey tones of pre-cast concrete, bronze metal and metal-look cladding with a painted finish as well as perforated screening, timber cladding and a stunning glass facade– bringing to life this exceptional building.
