CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to perform dogging

CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging is a five day program is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare and complete dogging work.


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program is delivered and assessed by Southern Training Organisation RTO 91378.

The licence to perform dogging - CPCCLDG3001 training course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare and complete dogging work. Students will gain basic skills associated with the slinging and movement of loads with cranes. Participants will be able to safely direct and position loads using various communication techniques. All course materials and the Work Safe accredited dogging assessment are included in the cost of the course.

Successful participants are required to lodge an application for a High Risk Work Licence with the regulatory body in the State/Territory they complete training in within 60 days from the issue date of the Statement of Attainment.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Participants must provide 100 points of identification and be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Participants must wear steel capped, safety footwear during training and assessment
  • English language skills sufficient to understand both written and verbal instruction
  • Basic numeracy skills to calculate volume and apply simple sling formulae
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment (attached) to be completed prior to confirmation of your enrolment

  • Lashing and whipping techniques
  • Knots and ropes
  • Types of slings, ropes and other lifting devices
  • Lifting calculations
  • Slinging and lifting techniques

LICENCE APPLICATION

Successful participants are required to lodge an application for a High Risk Work Licence with the regulatory body in the State/Territory they complete training in within 60 days from the issue date of the Statement of Attainment.

If you do not have one you will need to have either one of the following - Medicare card, birth certificate, driver licence, Australian passport, citizenship document, certificate of registration by descent, ImmiCard or Australian entry visa during this online process.
