This course aims people within the building & construction trades who will be using Explosive Power Tools (EPT) at work and those who are completing the requirements for a Certificate III Qualification. This course is delivered and assessed in English.
Up to 70% of the course cost may be refundable to eligible applicants through the ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund. We will apply for this refund on your behalf on successful completion of the course.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This course is aimed at people within the building and construction trades who will be using Explosive Power Tools (EPT) in their work and those who are completing the requirements for a Certificate III Trade Qualification. This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to apply safe and effective operation of EPT. It includes both direct and indirect fastening tools.
This course is delivered and assessed in English. Participants are required to understand both written and spoken English to a basic level to complete this course. If you are unable to read and write in the English language the professional services of an accredited translator are required (cost at participants expense).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
OHS Induction Card (White card)
- Participants must wear steel capped safety boots
- Minimum 15 years old
- English language skills sufficient to understand both written and verbal instruction
- Basic numeracy skills
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment (attached) to be completed prior to confirmation of your enrolment

CERTIFICATION
Competent participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for CPCCCM2007B Use explosive power tools.
