COVID-19, as a global pandemic, has changed the way we operate on a day-to-day basis. This has affected our work and home lives, from social distancing at work and in public places, to making arrangements to work from home (where applicable) through to implementing risk management strategies for both personal and work settings. It is not surprising that many of us are suffering from “pandemic fatigueâ€Â.
It is as important as ever to ensure that you are looking after your mental health and considering the mental health and wellbeing of those around you. Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (ACT), a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) has a duty to look after both the physical and mental wellbeing of its workers. Being aware of how you are feeling and knowing what you can do to look after your own mental wellbeing is crucial to you being able to support your workers and those around you during this time.
